Jeff graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law, cum laude, in 1991, where he was on the Law Review and Moot Court Team. He graduated from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania, with a degree in English in 1988.
After graduating from law school, Jeff worked for the Michigan Court of Appeals as a research attorney and, later, as a law clerk to various judges including the Chief Judge of the Court. In May of 1994, Jeff accepted a position with the Attorney General's office and was assigned to the Education Division. While in that division, Jeff provided legal counsel to the State Board of Education, the Department of Education, the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Governor, the Legislature, and other state agencies and officials in matters related to education law and school finance. Jeff joined LaPointe & Associates, P.C., in June of 2000.
While not at work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing golf, listening to all types of music, and rooting for the Penn State Nittany Lions in every sporting activity in existence.
