DISCLOSURE OF SECONDARY STUDENT INFORMATION TO MILITARY RECRUITERS AND SERVICE ACADEMIES

State and federal law require all public school districts to make available to military recruiters and military service academies the names, addresses and listed telephone numbers of secondary school students. However, parents, guardians, and students who are 18 years of age or older may ask that their personal information not be disclosed to military recruiters or the service academies. If you do not want your son or daughter= s personal information provided, you should submit a signed, written request that the information not be disclosed to the __________ Office by _________ (date).* Unless a signed, written request not to disclose such information is received (by that date), the names, addresses and listed telephone numbers of secondary students will be provided to military recruiters and service academies that ask for such information from the District.
